Emergency Medical Associates Holds Fundamental Critical Care Support Course

Capital Health System, Trenton, NJ - On October 31, 2003 and November 1, 2003, Capital Health System, Trenton, NJ, was the training site of one of only a few Fundamental Critical Care Courses held in New Jersey, which was run by Emergency Medical Associates.

David M. Schreck, MD, MS, FACP, FACEP, Medical Director of Emergency Medical Services for Mercer County, who is an FCCS Instructor, along with Edgar Jiminez, MD, FCCM, President of the Fundamental Critical Care Society and Philip Dellinger, MD, FCCM, Course Developer from Cooper Health System helped run the Fundamental Critical Care Support Course at Capital Health System. 

Ian Leber, MD, FACEP, Associate Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Capital Health System, John Fontanetta, MD, FACEP, Chairman, Department of Emergency Medicine, Clara Maass Medical Center, Joseph Testa, MD, Chairman, Department of Emergency Medicine, St. Joseph's Wayne General Hospital, Scott Larsen, MD, FACEP, Chairman Department of Emergency Medicine, Bayshore Hospital, Victor Tricarico, MD, FACEP, Attending Physician, Capital Health System, Gary Mouridy, MD, FACEP, Attending Physician, Union Hospital, Elaine Barry, NP, RN, EMA Client Account Manager, Steven Vetrano, MD, Attending Physician at Capital Health System, lectured to become FCCS Instructor-Candidates for the FCCS Course.

According to Dr. Leber, “This two-day 16 hour course is an outstanding educational opportunity for our Emergency Department physicians. The educational objectives of the course perfectly match Capital Health System’s goal to ensure that all ED patients at Capital Health System are provided with the highest quality of care possible.  This course is unique to Capital Health System and we are pleased to have been selected as an instructor site.”

In addition to the ED physicians at Capital Health System, Barbara Hall, RN, MICP, EMS Clinical Educator at Capital Health System successfully completed the course.
