EMA Features Latest Patient Tracking and Documentation Updates at NJ ENA Conference

Date: March 5, 2004

EMA featured the latest upgrades to their patient tracking and documentation system at the New Jersey Emergency Care Conference.  The annual NJ Emergency Nurses Association event, was held at The Tropicana Resort and Casino in Atlantic City March 10th - 12th.

Currently utilized in over 20 Emergency Departments, EMAs clinical solution, Emergency Department Information Manager (EDIM), is a real-time, HIPAA compliant patient tracking and documentation solution designed to track patient movement and progress through the emergency department.  A nursing module, developed by and for nurses, will also be demonstrated, and EMA invites you to their booth at ENA to view this exciting Nursing Dashboard.

The primary EDIM screen displays basic information for all patients currently in the ED, and can be color coded to alert your staff to specific concerns in your environment.  From the EDIM Main Browse screen, you can easily see critical patient information, including patient's name, age and gender, chief complaint, acuity level (triage, final or both), treatment status, nurses name, location within the ED by room, bed or ED area, total time in the ED, physician's name, status of labs, x-rays and diagnostics and much more.

The Nursing Dashboard promotes ED workflows by providing instant access to order status, IV status, allergies and meds, triage assessment information, vitals, progress notes and discharge instructions, patient orders and physician notes.

EDIM is a valuable time-saving tool that enables nurses and physicians to accurately and fully document the simplest ear infection to the most complex trauma case.
