EMA/ACEP Partnership Features Live Webcasts From 2004 Scientific AssemblyDate: October 12, 2004
EMA/ACEP Partnership Features Live Webcasts From 2004 Scientific Assembly EMA, with support from the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), will broadcast live interviews over the Internet directly from the floor of the ACEP Scientific Assembly. The Assembly will take place October 17-19 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco. EMA will interview key leaders from NY ACEP, NJ ACEP and National ACEP, and provide a forum for them to speak about their platforms, discuss issues in Emergency Medicine and share with their peers an overview of the educational sessions taking place at this year’s Assembly. The interviews, which will also be recorded and archived on EMA’s website, www.EMA-ED.com, will be loaded onto their site at 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm PST, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, October 17-19th. The archived footage will remain there for several weeks, giving all those interested in viewing the interviews ample time to do so at their convenience. Scott Serbin, EMA’s Coordinator of Education and Research, Scott Richards, EMA’s Chief Information Officer, and Lee Haberman, EMA’s Director of Sales & Marketing, wanted to provide a service to all emergency physicians unable to attend the Assembly, and brought the idea to ACEP leadership, who endorsed the webcasts. According to Haberman, “this will give all non-attending physicians a sense of what’s happening on the show floor, enable them to hear directly from their ACEP colleagues, and an opportunity to feel like they’re a part of all the action.” EMA’s partner, RealCast Corporation of Miami, will assist in the filming and archiving of footage on EMA’s website. Dr. Bruce Bonano, an EMA physician who also hosts a healthcare program on NJ 12, a local cable channel, will conduct the interviews. For more information, please contact Lee Haberman at 877 692-4665, x1014 or via email at HabermanL@alpha-apr.com.
